Terry has an extensive background in Hotel Management, including experiences in Food & Beverage, Front Office, Bellstaff, Guest Services, Hiring, Staff Development, Management Training, and Legal Compliance. He has parleyed this experience into his own Meeting Services Travel Agency franchise with ConferenceDirect based in Los Angeles. Locally, he worked The Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa in the national sales team for nearly seven years and he has a proven sales production and experience with over 500 sales contracts negotiated, 80,000 room nights booked, and 14 million dollars in room revenue produced. More recently, he served as a Group Sales Manager with Asheville Convention & Visitors Bureau promoting it as a meeting destination.
In his spare time, he is the volunteer Director of the Mountain Sports Festival where has worked in various capacities including permitting, marketing, and logistics over four years. The festival entertains and inspires over 10,000 people every Memorial Weekend in Asheville.
Personally, Terry and his wife Rachel are raising his two daughters in Asheville and they enjoy paddling, hiking, youth soccer games, live music, golf and home brewing craft beers for friends and family.
